Affordable Wine Classes In 2 Easy Hours
Do the weekends come along and you find yourself doing the same-old same-old? Here’s something different and infinitely doable without too much commitment! The Hilton Singapore is holding a series of wine appreciation classes titled The Wine Apprentice. This looks like the first series of more to come where you come away with a little more knowledge to enjoy yourself with in less than two hours each time.
Come for all three weekly classes, or pick and choose as you wish. The three classes take place on Fridays, 26th August, 2nd and 9th September, 5.30 pm until 7pm at the hotels’ cosy poolside Italian restaurant, Il Cielo. Hilton’s lady sommelier Stephanie Rigourd will be doing the teaching. Tasting up to five different wines in each lesson, you’ll learn the basics of wine, how to distinguish the characteristics of different wines, how to appreciate what you’re drinking and the differences between old and new world wines.
It’s a nice way to start off the weekend: you’ll learn something new and get to drink a bit of tipple too. Stay for dins when the lesson ends. We like the programme that’s short and sweet, and takes place just at the right time for pre-dinner drinks.
