London’s Country Living Spring Fair
You’re a lucky bunny if you’re in London anytime between 23 and 27 March, because that’s when the Country Living Magazine Spring Fair takes place! And in happening Islington, too. Definitely worth a cool afternoon’s meander, it rolls out all manner of goodies to titillate your inner Martha Stewart while you revel in the Grail of Retail. See these images of mouthwatering gorgeousness? How is any home-proud mortal to resist?
Marking the 20th year of the Fair, there’ll be over 400 independent retailers, designers, and artisans from across the UK showcasing (and selling!) lustworthy goodies like home and garden décor, vintage collectibles, ceramics, food, clothes, jewelry, kids’ paraphernalia, and even regional yummies at the food hall. Hands-on workshops offer ideas on floral arrangements, making your own decopatch figurine, cupcake decorating, and the finer details of wine tasting and decorating your home. For a bit of chilling out, there’s also a Yorkshire Tea tearoom to rest your feet and sip tea.
Indeed, when I was living in London years ago, I discovered that the best places to hunt out crafts and one-of-a-kind artisan goods were at some of the markets and fairs. So if you’re into rummaging for unique, homey items, this is a must go!
Tickets go at £16 at the door, but if you buy it in advance on its website, it costs just £12.50.
