The Edge of Femininity is born at alldressedup, Singapore’s very own glam shop this season. They definitely have more weather appropriate togs for Singapore’s climates so it is worth a stop by to see what’s in store.
Their ‘Inspration’ collection has a 40s vibe. Girlishness and sensuality meet a modern sensibility with this look.
Their ‘Colours’ section features a rich palette of crimson, peacock, olive, chocolate, jet, ivory and plum with prints in leopard ‘spellbound’, tortoise shell ‘mystique’ and ikat ‘surreal’ provides essential color pairing in the most unexpected way.
Defining ‘The Look’, there are silk crepe blouses with new details and flapper inspired pin tucked dresses are key to the collection. Jackets take on a tent silhouette with rounded shoulders and often with dolman and raglan sleeves. Also find ‘Sherlock’ cape style cardigans and ponchos provide cover for Fall’s chill with panel detail and tulle lining. Knitwear comes bold and textured for perfect layering.
Accessories are all art deco inspired with textural leather hand knots and weave entwined with optical illusion resin beads for necklaces, pendants and lariats. Also in-store find snake chains in gold and silver are anchored by tubular brass and geometric discs.
Bags show a return to clean lines, modern shapes in luxe leather with a new take on the ‘alldressedup’ brand hardware to finish the look. Must carry styles include the hobo, square Boston and half moon in classic shades of brick red, rosewood tan and slate. Envelop and fold over clutches are trimmed with the accessory details.
