Blue Blood Scents At Penhaligon’s

It looks like Singapore’s cool quota has truly upped a few notches judging from the number of established brands that are planting a flag on our curried soil. The latest is quintessentially Brit fragrance house Penhaligon’s with its 140 year heritage since its first store along Jermyn Street in London more than a century ago.

Offering elegance re-interpreted with just that touch of Brit eccentricity the brand owners wanted a boutique that both showcased and embodied it’s history as well as demonstrated its modern approach to perfumery set against an interactive and theatrical backdrop. Hence the lovely Victorian design; elegant wood panelling, tiled floors and display cases,  bespoke light fixtures and padded leather walls.

Their portfolio is an array of exquisite fragrances with over 30 unusual and distinctive fragrances: each designed to elicit a response. Today, Penhaligon’s scents are still made in England using the finest rare ingredients – from hand-squeezed bergamot, to jasmine at twice the price of gold. The signature Penhaligon’s fragrance bottle is to its founder William Penhaligon’s original design: clear glass with a distinctive ribbon-wrapped stopper.

You might want to consider this a stop by when shopping for a scented gift for your man just because Penhaligon’s holds two long-standing Royal Warrants from HRH the Duke of Edinburgh and HRH the Prince of Wales. I would be tickled to run in just for the fun of finding out just what scents secretly make the Queen and Camilla blush.

Penhaligon’s Ltd is located at 2 Orchard Turn #03-16 ION Orchard Singapore 238801
