Now here is what I call a hasty handbag heist. Roger Vivier who had a launch party yesterday (16 March) in London to launch their latest bag, Ms Viv had snatch thieves on motorbike make off with some extremely rare limited-edition alligator handbags valued up to £8,000 each. Who is Roger Vivier, you ask? In short, this Parisian invented the stiletto in 1954. He is most famous for designing Queen Elizabeth II’s shoes for her coronation in 1953. He also designed for Christian Dior from 1953 to 1963 and introduced the use of silk, pearls, bead, lace, applique and even jewels to create unique decorations for his shoes.
