Catch The Durian Buffet Before Its Over!

Oops! We almost missed this….! Durian lovers, head down to Orchard Hotel’s Orchard Cafe before the month is up to catch the Durian Dinner buffet. Priced from $52++ per adult, its a buffet of local faves like Braised Pork Belly, Fried Bee Hoon with Pig’s Trotters, Ikan Assam Pedas and LIVE cooking stations dishing out Fresh Herbal Prawns, Kuey Chap, Laksa, Mee Rebus, then followed by durian desserts galore.

They’ve set up a Durian station serving up sinful edibles like Glutinous Rice with Durian, Durian Ice Kacang, Durian Puffs, Durian Smoothie, Durian stuffed Pancakes, and Signature Chilled Durian Pengat Shooters. Unlike most angmo’s who shun the King of Fruits, the hotel’s Executive Chef Christoph Pouls has embraced it and created a host of other durian desserts – Durian Chocolates, Durian Crème Brulee, Belgium-style Durian Fritters and Waffles filled with a luscious amount of pure durian. We like how he integrates with the local cuisine! What’s more, if you don’t already know, Orchard Cafe is well known for its great local food. Definitely a must go. Catch it before it’s over end July!
