Declare Your Age, Get That Discount!
Looks like it does pay to be older at the Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore. From 17 March, the good hotel boldly launched an unprecedented age-based programme proudly named “Flash Your Age”.
Here’s how it works: Guests celebrating their birthdays at any of the hotel’s F&B outlets will enjoy a dining discount equivalent to their current age. So if you’re celebrating your 40th birthday, you get a 40 per cent discount off the total food bill up to a maximum of eight persons.
You’ll also get a birthday cake with compliments from Area Executive Pastry Chef Herve Potus and his team of chefs. What’s more, the hotel ups the deal if celebrants are older, with a complimentary meal for guests celebrating a 100th birthday and a generous rebate for diners older than a hundred!
The only catch is, you have to celebrate at the hotel on your actual birth date to take advantage of the special deal (I.C. required as proof).
