Fab Girls Do Hong Kong!
Hong Kong is definitely a girl’s favourite destination with all the great shopping that Elaine can vouch for. Time to plan the yearly pilgrimage with the GFs and take advantage of some pretty swanky deals rolled out just for us. Here goes:
The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong has rolled out a thoughtful Girls’ Getaway Package this summer. From HKG$4888 per night for two, this package is chockfull of yummy treats: breakie in the two-Michelin-star Amber restaurant (recently named one of the world’s best), afternoon tea for two at MO Bar, free use of the hotel’s ‘heat and water facilities’, Oriental pedicure for two at The Oriental Spa, a 60-minute Oriental Essence Massage for one and a 60-minute Prescription Facial for one. If you need more persuasion, consider the fact that the hotel is located in the same building as over 100 retail temples including Gucci, Tod’s, Manolo Blahnik, LV and the first Harvey Nichols store outside the UK. For some serious entertainment, head straight to Rayne, one of the wickedest nightspots down Wyndham Street. This place is right up our alley. Why? Lemme quote Rieke Klohn, the General Manager: “We wanted to create a bar where the focus is on taking care of the girls, the cocktails are amazing, the design is sexy and the ladies specials will be the best in town.” Nice! Targetted at 30-somethings, it’s just rolled out a super cool Girls Night Out package that takes the organizing out of your hands. And we love what they can deliver! Dinner for five gals with 2 hour open bar starts from HK$500 and works up to HK$950 per person for dinner and 2 hours free flow champagne. This includes a private space which can be curtained off for extra privacy. The add-ons are a real blast – for another HK$2800, you can have a two hour dance lesson fro 10 people at the studios before dinner and drinks, (salsa? Hip hop? How about mmbop chair dance?) with a bottle of champagne, or a make-up makeover for $2800 for five people. And if the girls want to go all the way, Rayne can also bring in the gentlemen stripper who will treat you to a 15 minute performance. HK$2500 for the service. We like!
