Getting Retro With Time
If you kept your watch from the early 80s for sentimental reasons, looks like you’re in luck, ‘cos retro time pieces even at the most casual level seems to be making a comeback.
Nevil is a new range of watches by Triwa in collaboration with Swedish organic tannery Tarnsjo. Military-inspired leather straps and a mod colour palatte, plus two strap options for each model make this a ‘lust’ in our books. So cool and funky! Available at Club 21B and Style Nordic.
In my books, treats don’t have to be expensive. That’s why I love Fossil’s style and affordability. Top of my list are these Geeky Sport watches (right, $155) which are so 1970s ‘go-go’ fever. Makes you want to break out the bat sleeves, put on the ethnic beads and head band and sing ‘Sunday Morning’! Hey, hey hey, what a beautiful day! The best place to get it is at their store in ION #B2-06.
I am personally not so hot on these watches by Diesel but I had to pop them into the post. One look at them and I think of Brylcream, Code 10, collar length hair and the song ‘Hey Big Spender”. Wasn’t that the height of masculine cool back in the 70s? Must buys for your man if you’re in to flare pants, wide collars and re-runs of “Starsky & Hutch”.
hmmm….time to take out my Baby-Gs again….
