Grand Wedding Tea
While the world is in the mood for wedding bells and British monarchy, what better way to mark the event than with tea and biscuits – the epitome of High British Teatime!
At this timely moment, TWG has reminded us that they have just the brew for any love-related occasion. Most apt for today of course is the Grand Wedding Tea, a black tea that is blended with bridal white blossoms and a scattering of exotic fruits for a spot of “soft, honeyed sweetness”. But if you’re not quite there yet, there are other teas to brew to mark your milestones towards matrimony!
If you’re still pursuing your love interest, there’s TWG’s Love Me Tea of fine green tea and fragrant floral blossoms to entice and reel in the object of one’s heart. Make eyes at him, then whip out your kettle and scatter this fine blend in for a quick infusion!
If you’re a little further down the road of love, how about the Valentine Breakfast Tea, a luscious brew of ripe fruits and silver pearls. Could this also be called the Morning After tea?
No room for regrets as you sip this together with your breakfast of pancakes and madeleines!
Finally, when he pops the question - “Will you marry me?” – immortalise the occasion with a shared teapot of Immortal Moment Tea, a rare Ceylon black tea blended with pure 24 karat gold leaves and vanilla bean. Cool.
But seriously folks, they do make rather a nice touch if you serve them as ‘afters’ for the wedding dinner, or for the customary ‘zumchar’ ceremony, no? Mom and aunties may approve….especially the gold flecked and pearly ones. Good idea, huh? huh? Think about it! :)
