Happy Hoots
We love how there are so many wonderful finds out there in cyberspace for the buying, all helmed by enterprising people with good ideas to share. Having had babies, we like this handmade series of blankets whimsically called thehappyhoot ($75) made with little kids in mind. The large single panel snuggle blanket is double layered, with doubled stitched edges and come in extra large sizes – 110cm x 90cm. The people behind this – who only go by the name sweetPea – made it so that you can tuck the sides under cot mattresses. Even if older kids squirm around in bed, these large blankets more than accommodate them and keep them warm. Coming in pink and blue designs and backed by a soft Japanese quilt layer, they are made of lightweight breathable 100% cotton and – thank goodness – can be tossed into the washing machine anytime.
