I Like ‘Em Dark And Rich
Am sure that those of you who are members of the Nespresso Club must love it for the many activities that they organise. I like their style in Hong Kong where there are always events to attend to taste new limited edition flavours, contests to take part in to win coffee crockery, sleeves and such and even a coffee cocktail class that I attended and started collecting the recipe cards for. Whilst I love my cuppa hot and steaming, coffee is just as good – cold or shaken and stirred with a good measure of alcohol.
It was at one of these exclusively delightful member tastings that I got to know and fall in love with Kazaar! Definitely one of the best flavours I have encountered to date in the Nespresso cache. Basically a Brazilian coffee with Arabican flavours at an intensity 12 level, Kazaar is all about distinct aroma and a richness to the after swirl. To date, I have not found another capsule that compares and that is why I was so totally surprised when I decanted a capsule from their latest launch, Dhjana, another Arabica combining flavours from Brazil, Columbia, Costa Rica and India and found that it came close to the mark. Full bodied and velvety, this espresso offers a smooth and delcately milky note enhanced by a refreshing hint of fruit. Definitely an A plus in my books so if you like me, like it rich and dark – this one is a winner! Only thing is that it is a limited edition so don’t sit on it as my info has it that limited editions at Nespresso all have a 2 month shelf life before their fate is decided.
