Minx Your Nails
MINX - I like the name already. This new ‘Nail Spa‘ part of the Vedure MediBoutique in Singapore. Don’t you just ‘love’ how the PR people like to spin new lexicons to describe emerging concepts – think… ‘mediboutique’, ‘nailspa’ .. and likewise with the travel and food PR people, there are new terms like ‘stay-cation’ and the food guys with terms like ‘tunch’ … I am not sure that these actually glamour a business but then … I digress…
As I was saying, this new outlet is the second spa for nails owned by the Group and it is located within Robinsons at MBS (Marina Bay Sands). There are 3 manicure and pedicure stations each with a massage chair function and a facial room so if you prefer not to pay hotel rates, then here is an alternative that welcomes you with a cocktail and gives you a choice of fashionable nail art designs by Minx, a Californian nail line. You can choose from sparkly metallics, personalized graphics and photo-quality designs. Made of flexible film, these are customised nails that can feature the exact pattern and colours of your newest gown, have your child’s photo on each nail even and each design lasts for up to 2 weeks.
The Salon Spa also retails the new Minx Professional for the Lisa Logan line consisting of 8 designs, created in collaboration with world renowned New York celebrity nail stylist Lisa Logan whose clients include Beyoncé, Katy Perry and Madonna.
Their classic spa treatments with clever copy titles like Glamour Diva, Cleopatra, Nail Doc, Crème de la Mer and Sakura are also available at the new outlet which uses brands like OPI, Estessimo TINS and Cuccio. Classic Manicures are available from S$35 onwards, nail art designs cost S$5 for each nail and Minx designs are available from S$80 for a set of hands onwards. Facials are priced from S$150 onwards.
