Retail Therapy In Vanilla
It’s not just Simply Fab who’s reeling from the joys of a new home. Vanilla Home has also just opened a new boutique in Marina Bay Sands (MBS), their second outlet after Palais Renaissance. This one promises to be more quirky though, and you’ll find curated style and lustworthy pieces for the home that’s way more interesting and luxe than ho-hum, run-of-the-mill home décor items. This may not be a ‘need-to-go’ shop, but it’s most certainly a ‘want-to-go’.
Founded by interior architect, Stefanie Hauger, it stocks lifestyle items of gorgeousness from Europe, Argentina and America, including lots of brands exclusive to this shop. Look forward also to new collections previously not available at its Palais Renaissance boutique.
Expect to see gorgeous French apothecary products by Mad et Len, glassware from Sempre, scented candles by Baobab Collection, decorative table lamps by Best & Lloyd, hand painted tableware by Alberto Pinto Diffusion, fine ceramic garden accessories by O Living, mirrors, cushions, artificial floral arrangements, jewellery, linen….All things bespoke for the luxurious home is there! “Impeccable craftsmanship, understated elegance, simplicity, refined luxury and timelessness – there is an innate desire in people for the finer things in life,” says Hauger.
The shopping experience there reflects this, too. A plush sofa in the centre of the boutique gives you space to relax and consider your choices, or you can lounge over tea or wine and take in the personalized suggestions from the staff.
It may not be cheap, but you gotta pay for quality. Then again, it’s always good to know there’s teeming life beyond Ikea!…
