Semi Precious & Funky
If you want a change from your sparkly rocks, look to semi-precious with a bit of funky.
Style:Nordic in Singapore has recently brought in Swedish designer Efva Attling’s jewellery, the most iconic piece of which was the ‘Homo Sapiens’ necklace worn by Madonna some time ago. Attling’s signature are jewellery with inspirational words, with dog tag pendants bearing mantra’s like ‘Hope’ (which Jennifer Aniston has been seen to wear) and ‘Carpe Diem’. The former model works with semi precious stones, gold and silver and are suitable for both day and night. Style:Nordic is located in Delfi Orchard and carries Scandinavian designer goods like fashion from Marimekko, homeware from Iittala and high-end design furniture.
Still on semi precious, we like local designer Carolyn Kan’s latest Signature Collection of raw cut druzy cocktail rings with diamonds. Each druzy is different, so these are lovely statement pieces. Her Liquid Metal collection is also pretty tempting. They are now available at Asiatique in Dempsey Road.
