The World’s Most Expensive Shoe

So what does the world’s most expensive shoe look like and what does it cost?

Feast your eyes on this beauty! It was made in 1962 for Princess Soraya (the second wife of the Shah of Iran) by Roger Vivier who donated it whilst he was alive to the Romans Museum. The shoe was repurchased and rescued back thanks to a joint effort of the Maison Roger Vivier, the French Shoe Federation and the French State as the shoe was auctioned off at a record breaking amount of 19750 Euro at the Auction House de Neuilly on Wednesday 30 November this year.

The shoe joins a collection of other pieces that Roger Vivier once designed for celebrities of the past century such as Elizabeth Taylor or John Lennon, the Mask sandals, the thigh boots or the pumps embroidered by the Atelier Lesage in the sixties.
