Theatre In The Tea Room

How about an afternoon tea with an artistic spin? Ritz Carlton Milennia Singapore’s wizard of whimsy, Executive Pastry Chef Terence Pang creates his tea spreads according to seasonal collections like fashion designers do. From now till 20 November, his Autumn Weekend Afternoon Tea leap out with pop art colour, and retro style from the 1950s. (If you see his amazing dessert presentation during the Greenhouse’s Sunday brunch, you’ll realise what an artist he is!)

Round up the girls and head to the hotel’s Chihuly Lounge. Leave the diet at home and tuck into whimsical chocolate desserts that feature colourful chocolate stars, a shot of Caramelia Mango with an edible chocolate ‘straw’, petite Tanariva Yoghurt Éclair adorned with a chocolate music bar and notes, and cheesecake overlaid with a curious clock face and delicately-curved chocolate hands reminiscent of Salvador Dali’s painting “The Persistence of Memory”. Other yummies on the menu: Cucumber and Egg Mayo with Crème Fraîche, Marinated Prawn with Tomato & Avocado Salsa, Japanese Egg Omelette with Edamame Seaweed Salad, classic and choc chip scones, Ivoire Pistachio & Strawberry Tart, Chocolate Financier with Morello Cherries and chocolate soufflé a la minute, etc. Served in a most civilised manner only on leisurely weekends from 2.30pm to 5pm, the spread includes a choice of 30 loose leaf fine teas by Ronnefeldt.

Shop over lunch time, then settle down for this spread at $46++ per adult and $23++ per child.
