This Girl Is 40 And ‘Hotter’ Than Ever!
So what does a hot, successful gal do when she hits the big 4-0? Why, she goes out and celebrates with a gorgeous life-changing makeover, of course! Recognise the logo? We thought you would.
This lovely 40 year old beauty has done just that. On the occasion of her 40th anniversary, she has upped the stakes by giving the younger kids on the block a run for their money with her new looks, given the guys (and gals) a new reason to run to her each morning for a wake up kiss before they head to work and best of all, she got them to each willingly part with hard earned mula for a good cause (think Japan Earthquake) without begging. Now that’s a gal with skill.
Yes, you are looking at Starbucks, 40, loving it and big on attitude too .. their newly launched catch phrase reads “You and Starbucks. It’s bigger than coffee”. And so it is bigger than coffee as the brand turns it’s focus onto the community, it’s customers and the connections that they make in the store.
As part of their coming of age celebrations, they have launched two new flavours and lots of new items on their menu. So if you pop by, ask for a “Cocoa Cappuccino” or their “Tribute Blend” made with four different coffee beans from Sumatra, Ethiopia, Papua New Guinea and Colombia.
On the new menu, you can have a quick lunch with items like their Cheddar Curry Beef Crumble Pie, BBQ Meatball and Onion Wraps or if you are peckish and need something sweet with your coffee, we recommend the new Cake Pop (picture above) or the heavenly Chocolate Dome Cake, both guaranteed to hit the spot!
Also as part of the celebs, April has been declared their Global Month of Service with the aim of reaching 200,000 hours of service performed by Starbucks partners and customers globally. Starbucks Hong Kong will be partnering with local NGO, Unison, for a meaningful environmental workshop with ethnic-minority students in April. The company has also donated HK$1.48 million in beverage proceeds to the Japan Earthquake cause and recently organised a ‘Coffee for a Cause’ fundraising event on Friday 18th March, which took place simultaneously across all Starbucks stores in Hong Kong. Generous customers committed the cost of their coffee to victims of the earthquake and during the event, a total of over 53,800 beverages (including bottled beverages) were sold. Total proceeds went towards World Vision Hong Kong’s Japan Earthquake Relief on behalf of “Starbucks customers and partners”. The chain is still collecting donations towards Japanese Earthquake Victims via donation boxes at Starbucks stores so don’t wait too long to get that much needed coffee fix!
