This Is What A S$5m Watch Looks Like!

This watch could cost you that dream apartment in Hong Kong or a house in Bukit Timah in Singapore. Ever wondered what a S$5 million timepiece looks like? Well if you pop by The Hour Glass’s stand alone Hublot boutique at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore you can see it. The Hour Glass actually purchased this watch a few days after it’s unveiling at the BaselWorld Watch Fair this year.

Rare and notable, The Hublot 5M Big Bang takes a radical approach in its creation. Diamond cutters first came up with the watch blueprint and then hunted down the diamonds that would best fit in its construction. Each stone was carefully selected to make sure that there was a consistency in quality, design and colour. A renowned master cutter with over 40 years of experience from New York was also responsible for cutting the largest stones to ensure perfection. In fact 17 people spent 14 months of precise labour to set the 100 over carats worth of baguette diamonds on this time piece. There are 1282 diamonds including 6 emerald-cut diamonds set on the bracelet weighing over 6 carats each. Each of these are VVS in clarity and in a top colour.

I wonder who they plan to sell it to? Any Big Bang theories around that one? …. Wink!
