Versace & H&M Collaborate This November!

Excitement for Singapore shopaholics! You don’t need to rush to Hong Kong any more to get your fill of the great buys at H&M. Its been a slow process but H&M will finally open its doors to a 30,000 square foot store with three levels offering the ladies, men’s and children’s wear this September in Orchard Road in Orchard Building (1 Grange Road).

Famous for its guest designers (think Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Comme des Garçons, Jimmy Choo and, most recently, Lanvin) who have in the recent past pulled together and launched a seasonal collection, the store will showcase Donatella Versace’s first H&M collection.

The womenswear collection will be dominated by dresses that fit right in with the spirit of the season, featuring studded leather, silk and colorful print, with accessories including high heels and costume jewellery. The men’s collection will focus on sharp tailoring, including the perfect tuxedo, as well as belts and jewellery for men, too. For the first time in a designer collaboration at H&M the collection will consist of some homeware pieces, including cushions and a bedspread. Expect a look thats loud, colourful, full of leather and exuberance in exclusive materials but all at H&M’s fantastic prices. The collection will be available from 17 November and in Hong Kong, I have seen queues and queues throng the street lining up from the time the store opens just to pick the best items whenever H&M launches a designer collaborated collection.  Ms Versace has also designed a pre-Spring collection which is available only online from 19 January 2012.
