World’s Most Precious Shoes
So you have a fetish for shoes? Has the closet Imelda in you ever seen the world’s most precious pair of shoes? Well feast your eyes on these lovelies. This Chopard and Zanotti designed piece was worn by Polish model Anja Rubik to the 64th International Cannes Film Festival on 19th May, recently and they will be auctioned off at the traditional Cinema Against AIDS dinner on behalf of amfAR, the Foundation for Aids Research.
This innovative jewellery creation, never before seen on the red carpet, was jointly crafted by the jewellers, gem-cutters and shoemakers of the two companies. Composed of a pair of hoop earrings and bejewelled sandals with dizzyingly high heels (12.5 cm), it features graded shades of pink composed of briolette-cut rubellites, pink sapphires, amethysts and diamonds set on rose gold.
Anja also wore a pair of 18ct rose gold earrings set with 360 briolettes-cut pink sapphires (118.19 cts) and 48 briolettes-cut diamonds (17.868 cts).
